There's another side to this studio
I think people assume they know what Studio Kynd does is just elevated, warm minimalism and yes, that is real, that's genuinely me, and I love that work deeply but it's not the whole picture because alongside the muted palette, there is another part of my creative instinct that is messier, softer, more alive and Sora is where I got to let that breathe.
Sora is a skincare brand, but designing for it never felt like a skincare project. It felt like arranging flowers, like the pleasure of choosing stems that shouldn't work together and watching them somehow just do. I kind of like the imperfection, because that is where the feeling lives and that is what I was chasing here.
The handwritten type, the softness in the compositions, the way colour was allowed to be warm and present without being loud, this is the work I make when I stop trying to be minimal and just follow what feels alive and what feels alive to me is almost always something botanical, something handmade, like a person touched it.
So if you have ever looked at Studio Kynd and thought beautiful, but not quite my energy, Sora might be the project that changes your mind.
