8/8: An Invitation to Release, Realign + Make Space for What Comes

There is something I love about moments in the year that invite us to pause.

Today is 8/8, a date often referred to as the Lion's Gate Portal and associated with abundance, expansion, manifestation and new beginnings. Whether you believe in the energetic significance of the day or simply use it as a marker for reflection, I think the invitation behind it is a beautiful one: to consider what we want to carry forward and what we might finally be ready to leave behind because when we think about creating the life or business we want, our instinct is so often to ask what we need to add but lately I've been thinking about the opposite.

What if the next chapter doesn't require more from us?
What if it requires space?
What are you ready to let go of?

Sometimes growth isn't about pushing harder towards the next thing, sometimes it's about having the courage to put something down and as founders, we spend so much time inside our businesses that it can be incredibly difficult to see them clearly.

We're delivering the work, answering emails, creating content, thinking about finances, serving clients, planning launches and keeping everything moving. Before we know it, another month has passed and in all that doing, we don't always stop to ask whether the business we're running today still reflects the business we actually want.

Does this still feel like me?
Do I still want to offer this?
Is this where I want to be putting my energy?
Am I doing this because it works for me, or because I've been told I should?
What would I change if I stopped worrying about what everyone else was doing?

Realignment doesn't necessarily mean tearing everything down and starting again. Often, it's quieter than that, it's noticing and releasing something that no longer fits so something else has room to emerge.

There are still months left in 2026 and I think there's something particularly interesting about having these conversations now. Imagine what could shift if, rather than waiting until January to decide who you want to be in 2027, you used the remaining months of this year to begin becoming them, not through pressure, through intention.

Anyways, so all of this thinking inspired me to create something new at Studio Kynd. For 8/8, I'm opening four spaces for The Realignment, a private month of brand, business and direction designed for founders who can feel that something needs to shift but haven't quite created the space to work out what that looks like.

Across three 1:1 sessions, we'll step outside the day-to-day of your business and look at the bigger picture. We begin with a 90-minute session to understand where you are, where you're going, what you've outgrown and what needs your attention and then you go away and do the work.

We meet again to review what's shifted, work through what hasn't and refine the direction and then you implement again and finally, we come back together to look at everything you've discovered and create a considered direction for the months ahead and the energy you want to take into 2027.
