I still remember the first time I shared something of my own online, but hitting publish felt like the biggest thing in the world, not because I had a huge audience but because it was mine and for the first time, it was out there.
Even now, years into Studio Kynd, where I speak to thousands every day, I still think back to that version of me, the one who triple-checked her words, closed the laptop fast, and whispered to herself, “Was that too much?”
Being visible online doesn’t come naturally to everyone, especially when you’re building something sacred, soul-led, and entirely your own and if you’re a sensitive, creative soul (like me) maybe even stepping into entrepreneurship for the first time, or the fear of being visible can feel paralysing. It is not just fear of being seen; it’s fear of being misunderstood.
In my experience (and with the women I work with), it usually stems from two places:
You’re doing something different, something unconventional, soulful, and outside the status quo. That alone can make you feel exposed.
You don’t feel “expert” enough yet even though you care deeply and are incredibly qualified, there’s a whisper of imposter syndrome saying, “Who am I to share this?”
And when your work is you, your thoughts, your process, your creativity. it’s easy to feel like you have to be polished, confident, or ‘ready’ before you begin but what if we let go of all that? What if showing up imperfectly is the most powerful thing you ever do?
At Studio Kynd, we believe visibility isn’t about being loud, it’s about being honest. It’s about sharing from where you are, not where you think you should be, and I’ve learned, over time (and many soft, quiet steps), that there’s no need to push yourself into harsh visibility. You don’t need to be everywhere, you don’t need to go viral, and you don’t need to prove anything.
You just need to begin. Gently.
Here is how I began to find safety in being seen:
( I honoured my fear )
I stopped pretending I should be more confident than I was. I let myself feel it, the tightness in my chest, the second-guessing, the urge to hide and instead of fixing it, I witnessed it. That fear was just trying to protect me from rejection, from misunderstanding, from harm. So I said thank you and I kept going.
( I focused on being seen by the right people )
The truth is not everyone will get what you do and that’s okay. I stopped trying to convince the wrong people and started focusing on those who already believed in what I was creating because when you focus on resonance, not reach, everything changes.
( I took one small step at a time )
Visibility doesn’t have to be dramatic. For me, it looked like publishing one post. Updating one line on my website. Telling one new person what I do and over time, that compounded into confidence. Not the kind you fake, the kind you grow into.
( I chose platforms that felt safe for me )
Not everyone thrives on social media, and that’s okay. For a while, Instagram made me feel scattered and on edge. So I built visibility in other ways through SEO, my website, email, referrals. Now I share in ways that feel aligned and spacious.
Visibility isn’t about ego or “selling yourself.” It’s about building a gentle bridge from your heart to theirs and the more we do that from a place of integrity, compassion, and care, the more sustainable our businesses become. I now run a brand studio that helps sensitive, soulful founders do just this, build aligned, sustainable visibility in a way that feels safe and true.
You don’t have to be loud to be magnetic.
You don’t have to be “more confident” to start.
You just have to begin from where you are.
And if you're ready to explore a way of marketing and visibility that works with your energy (not against it), I am here for you.
With love,
